We are really pleased to introduce Suffolk club runner and run-leader Stuart Weaver as Running Race Director for our next event: ROC Challenge at Foxhall Stadium on 9th November.
Stuart has been a Suffolk resident for over 20 years now and lives just a stones throw away from Foxhall Stadium, so knows this fantastic venue inside and out. He is also a member of Harwich Runners and Rushmere Community Runners, where he has been a run leader for the past year.
Stuart started club running about five years ago and has progressed from running for general fitness, to racing lots of distances including big city marathons, and can often be seen out and about training for events with his dog Ebony.
He has in the past been through a bit of a rough time mentally and admits that he was unhealthy and overweight too. He says that running really helped him get through this period and has been the catalyst to him losing weight and feeling loads better!
Stuart has received lots of help throughout his running journey and he likes helping others too by offering structured sessions, general advice and company on community runs.
ROC Challenge at Foxhall Stadium will be his first event as Race Director and we just know he will be a fantastic ambassador for running and ROC!
